An empty gurney rests between two sleeping Thai soldiers, who for weeks had been transporting dead bodies from refrigerated cargo containers to the morgues, in an attempt the identify the more than 2,000 bodies housed there. The attempt to identify bodies required teams to work around the clock. Once identified, bodies were released for burial, in a country where almost everyone was touched by the tragedy.
